Calcagni Realtor Brette Stern Earns the Business Women’s Alliance Award

The Cheshire Chamber of Commerce recently awarded Calcagni Realtor Brette Stern the Business Women’s Alliance Award. Presented by Yetta Augur and Jean Gillotti, the award is an official citation from the Connecticut General Assembly and recognizes Brette for her 15 years of service with Calcagni Real Estate.

“You’re a role model and mentor for younger working women and have been the co-chair of the Business Women’s Alliance for three years, helping to empower women. We are all thankful for your dedication,” the award reads.

Having joined Calcagni’s Cheshire Office as a Realtor in 2005, Brette has helped countless home buyers and sellers throughout Connecticut realize their goals of homeownership. As one of the company’s New Homes Sales Consultants, she has represented the 55+ community, Castle Heights in Cheshire by Carrier Builders—since fall 2019. In just over a year’s time, she and her fellow Realtor and Sales Consultant, Nancy Lydell, have sold ten new homes at Castle Heights.

“I am so lucky to be able to work in a career where I get to help people find the place they want to call home—especially in times like these,” Brette says. “People equate home to safety, comfort, and today, it has even greater meaning as so many have been homebound due to the pandemic. I have the utmost gratitude that I am blessed to live in and give back to a community that has been my home for almost my entire life. I love the community where I live and work and am so proud to call Cheshire my home.”

When she made the leap from a career in human resources to real estate, Brette chose Calcagni because of its strong core values, support of its employees, and reputation as a privately owned small business with a significant presence, market share, and reputation. “I have a strong affinity towards small businesses because I come from an entrepreneurial family,” she shares, “and Calcagni has always been a company of strong integrity that I feel proud to work for and hold my license with.”
