About Evan LaRosa

Personal Background:

I grew up in Southbury and I’ve lived in Connecticut my whole life. I studied economics and history at UConn and after graduation I worked as an Analyst in the corporate world, but I felt like I needed a change. My brother, Alex, who has been in real estate for several years, pitched the idea of us working together. I took his advice, and I’m glad I did!

Education:

Uconn – Economics and History

What do you love most about your town or a particular area in CT?

I love the small-town feel of Southbury. It’s a great community, where you see a familiar face everywhere you go. I also love the bucolic farmland that still exists here.

What is your favorite thing to do in your downtime?

When I’m not working, you can find me on the pool deck. I’ve coached swimming since I was a teenager and continue to coach today. I also love playing sports with my brothers. We play together in a men’s hockey league, and also enjoy playing golf and tennis with our dad.

Where or what is your happy place?

The beach – I love visiting Jones Beach on Long Island – I have some family there so whenever I go I get to spend time with family as well.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

One favorite childhood memory is the time my dad took my younger brother and me on a road trip to Cleveland. We went with his business partner and his four sons to see the Jets play the Browns. We rented and decorated a van that we dubbed the “Jet-Mobile”, toured the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, met one of the Browns players outside of our hotel, and made signs for the game. It was an unforgettable experience!

What’s something someone would be surprised to learn about you?

Depending on how they know me, people are either surprised to learn that I’m an Eagle Scout, or that I played water polo in college.
