About Joan Luna Zayas

I began my career as a licensed Realtor in 2008. From 2002 to 2013, I gained valuable experience in various administrative roles at Calcagni Real Estate, including Front Desk Administrator, Advertising Coordinator, and REO Coordinator. This diverse background and dedication to my work have laid a strong foundation for my career as a licensed realtor.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have built a strong presence in the Wallingford Hispanic community. For several years, I served as the Executive Director of the Spanish Community of Wallingford (SCOW), where I developed meaningful connections and advocated for members of my community. My real estate experience and community engagement have made me a trusted resource for many clients.
My journey has been shaped by my resilience and strength as a leukemia survivor. My dedication to helping others is evident in my personal and professional life. I am particularly passionate about helping home buyers, particularly first-time buyers. I find great joy in helping buyers make their dreams a reality. I work with a Spanish-speaking team that includes a mortgage lender, attorney, and inspector, ensuring that my Hispanic clients receive seamless, comprehensive support throughout their real estate journey. In addition to my real estate career, I am a Notary Public, a tax preparer, and a member of the Hartford Healthcare Hispanic Cancer Support Group. I am also a proud UConn Alumna!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my five grandchildren. Family is so important to me! I also enjoy rooting for the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and the New England Patriots.
