About Brette Stern

What is your work background?

I spent 10 years in Human Resources before joining Calcagni Real Estate in 2005. I decided to leave the corporate world and pursue a career where I can assist people in a much more personal way. There is something very satisfying about getting to know individuals, their wants and needs, and helping them to fulfill their goals. I enjoy and value individuality and love the versatility that comes with dealing with diverse individuals and unique circumstances.

Where did you grow up?

I am a Cheshire Native and moved back to my hometown after going to college and working up in Boston. I am a New England girl through and through, and adore the historic feel and charm of small New England towns. I love the change of seasons we have in the Northeast as well as the New England coastline. I will always live somewhere near the ocean.

What is your favorite saying?

“It is what it is, but it will be what you make it.” Life is a journey and while we can’t always control the current circumstances, we can control our reaction to it. When things don’t go the way I expect or wish them to, I try to step back and find a positive take away from the experience. Sometimes this takes time, but it is really helpful to reflect and look at things from different angles and perspectives.

How would you best describe your work style?

I am a seasoned professional committed to fair and honest client relationships. I take pride in providing exceptional service, timely feedback, and excellent communication. As a great listener, I am able to acquire a clear understanding of my clients’ wants and needs. I also work hard to educate clients on what to expect when buying or selling a home so as to set clear expectations. This ultimately leads to finding the right “fit” in a home for each unique homebuyer.
