HEIDI MATUSIK OBTAINS BROKER DESIGNATION

As homebuyers, sellers, and lookers know, the real estate market is changeable and often complex, making the selection of an informed, experienced agent as weighty of a decision as the selection of a home.  Recognizing the position of trust and authority our clients grant us, we promote ongoing training, education, and certification for all of our agents.  We also love to see our team members add letters to their names in the form of new designations, like ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and CNHS (Certified New Homes Specialist), to name a few.  Of course, the most advanced and recognized title is that of Broker. 

Just as we encourage our agents to pursue new designations, so too do we celebrate them when those designations are achieved. 

Heidi Matusik has practiced real estate since 2004.  Born and raised in Southington, she is a hometown Realtor at our Plantsville office and an esteemed member of our Calcagni team.  For years, Heidi has proactively pursued specialized education within the real estate field, gaining several designations including ABR, CRS, HSE (Home Staging Expert), and SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource).  She has also taught the Real Estate Licensing Principles and Practices class at Tunxis Community College.  What makes these accomplishments more commendable is Heidi’s status as a highly productive full-time agent, as well as her recurring position on the Midstate Association of Realtors’ list of Top Producers. 

This past year, while facilitating a hearty resume of transactions (and balancing the needs of her family–two teenage sons and a husband of twenty years), Heidi studied for and attained her Broker license.  We marvel at her ability to multitask with such success and we also revel in this newest accolade—and all its implications–for our team.  “I’m so pleased for Heidi and I extend my proudest congratulations,” says company president Steven Calcagni.  “With every certification, designation, and license, our Calcagni roster becomes that much more refined, robust, and expert.”
